July 2010



A Foreign Language   by Mama


You know, I always like when missionaries include funny language blunders in their newsletters—how they say one thing but meant to be saying something else. That’s how I feel with Daniel at times. Here are a few language translations from this month: We’re sitting at a stop light and Daniel looks at the driver next to us and pipes up, “He’s steaming!” (I look over and see that the driver is smoking) Joshua asked Daniel what he wants to be when he grows up. Daniel said, “A trainer.” So naturally, Joshua asked “A trainer of what, dogs?” Daniel said, “No, a person who rides the trains!” (aka, a train conductor)




Summertime   by Mama

Summer has always been my least favorite season. However, this summer I am so enjoying having the boys home and playing with them and I am loving our yard. It’s the first time ever that I like our flower beds and people comment how nice they look. Yea! And July is the best month for color so here are some pics:
